Odisha assembly drowns in din, slippers and paper missiles hurled at Speaker

Slippers, microphones and documents crumpled up into balls flew like missiles in the Odisha assembly on Saturday, as BJP members raged over the passage of a bill without discussion, provoking the Speaker to suspend three of them and order their immediate exit from the chamber. BJP members were up in arms against Speaker SN Patro after the House passed the Odisha Lokayukta (Amendment) Bill within minutes without any discussion.
