After brief respite, light rains downgrade Delhi's air quality to 'very poor'

High humidity pushed the air quality level down on Thursday as it plunged to 'very poor' category. According to officials, light rains in the national capital increased humidity which in turn degraded the air quality. Delhi had been breathing relatively less polluted air for three days after a bright sun and improved wind speed pulled the city out of the grip of a dense haze that had been lingering over it since October 29. But the increased humidity on Thursday pushed the pollution levels up.
