Magnitude-5.0 earthquake hits Andaman island

An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter Scale hit the Andaman Island on Monday. According to reports released by Indian Meteorological Department, the earthquake hit a depth of almost 10 km and tremors were felt at 7:24 am.
