Chris Gayle boost helps West Indies to break the world record for number of sixes in an innings against England

West Indies hit a world record 23 sixes against England in the 1st ODI held at Bridgetown yesterday including a whopping 12 maximums from opener Chris Gayle himself. In doing so, the Windies surpassed the previous record of 22 set by New Zealand against them in January 2014.
