Amid mine collapse crisis, Meghalaya govt slapped with Rs 100 crore fine by NGT for failing to curb illegal mining

The Meghalaya government failed to curb illegal coal mining in the state. Therefore the National Green Tribunal on Friday imposed a fine of whopping Rs 100 crore.
