Uttarakhand urban local body polls: Counting underway for direct contest between BJP and Congress

The counting for the urban local body polls in Uttarakhand is underway. The voting for the  84 urban bodies, including seven municipal corporations, 39 municipal councils and 38 nagar panchayats, was held on Sunday. According to election commission, over 69 per cent of 23.53 lakh voters had come out to cast their vote in the polls.
