'Woman made obscene gestures at me': Pistol Pandey after his arrest; to be produced in court today

Former BSP MP's son Ashish Pandey has been facing trouble ever since he was seen brandishing a gun at guests and threatening them at a plush Delhi hotel, in a video this month. After dodging the police for days, Pandey finally surrendered before the Patiala House Court on Thursday, a day after a non-bailable warrant was issued against him. He was subsequently arrested and taken into one-day police custody. He told police he was hiding in Uttar Pradesh's Basti district along with his wife and child as he got scared after the video went viral. Ashish Pandey was on the run since the early Sunday morning incident at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, which prompted the police to step in and launch a hunt for the accused who had gone missing after the incident. Pandey, who is the son of former BSP MP Rakesh Pandey and brother of sitting UP MLA Ritesh Pandey, will be produced before a  court today.
