Indian IT companies operating from the United States and small and medium-sized contractual firms mostly owned by Indian-Americans are likely to be hit by the Trump administration’s plans to introduce strict norms for obtaining H-1B visas. The Trump administration has made it clear that it is mulling over “revising” the definition of employment and specialty occupations under the H-1B visas by January.​H-1B is the most sought-after visa among Indian IT professionals.
