Rajasthan slashes VAT on petrol, diesel by 4%; prices to come down by Rs 2.5 a litre

Rajasthan on Sunday decided to reduce value-added tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel in the state by four per cent, taking down their prices by Rs 2.5 per litre. The announcement was made by chief minister Vasundhara Raje.
